What is this card?
This card was developed to go into a central office switch to drive a bank of modems.
What makes this motherboard unique?
This computer is a two-card set that gives the user a high-speed low cost computer in a very tight space. This card is HOT-SWAPABLE! A user presses a button on the front of the card, which informs the operating system to shutdown the board. The operating system will then inform a microcontroller on the board to remove power from the main system. Once power is removed, the board may be replaced. An isolated fully implemented PCI bus is put across one of the mid-plane connectors to interface this card more PCI peripherals. In addition, a notebook style IDE drive is mounted onboard.
